What this site collects.
This website for Coastal Apartment is deliberately simple. It does not ask you for personal information, and it does not track you. Last updated 28 October 2026.
What we do not do
- No cookies are set.
- No analytics or advertising trackers are used.
- There are no forms, accounts or sign-ups, and nothing you type here is stored.
- Fonts and images are served from this site, not from a third party.
The map
The map on the home and location pages loads when you scroll to it. Your browser then requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and browser details, as it would on any website that shows its maps. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy (opens in a new tab). If you never scroll to the map, no request is made.
Links to other services
Links such as “Open in Google Maps” and WhatsApp open in a new tab. Nothing is shared with those services until you click, and after that their own privacy policies apply.
If you contact us
If you email, call or message the host on WhatsApp, they receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, number and travel dates. These are used only to answer your enquiry and to arrange a booking. WhatsApp is operated by Meta; calls and email go through your own provider.
Server logs
Like most web servers, the one hosting this site keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time and page requested) for security and fault-finding. They are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Your rights
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing ndumvis@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (opens in a new tab).
